Realising Walter Burley Griffin's Vision for our Capital
In 2016 the Canberra Metro consortium, comprising Mitsubishi Corporation, Pacific Partnerships, John Holland and Aberdeen Infrastructure Investments, reached Financial Close for Stage 1 of Canberra’s new light rail network. Stage 1 comprises 12 kilometres and 13 stops and links the northern town centre of Gungahlin to the city centre (Civic). Construction was completed and it opened for service in early 2019.
Tom has been a non-executive director of Canberra Metro since Financial Close.
